Madhubani or Mithila hand- painting is painstakingly made by the rural womenfolk of a region by the same name. Making use of fabric paints, the women display their art on Tassar silk, Cotton and even chiffon, drawing themes from traditional Indian folklore, mythology and auspicious symbols. Srijan Boutique has experimented beautifully by using intricate tattoo work on all its products, and the results have been, to say the least, breathtaking.
